I try to listen to this every year since elementary school

Heard this song played in high school. Nice song. Still listen to it every remembrance day.

My grandfather a Canadian WW2 vet was still alive when this came out. He passed a couple years later.

I know for many including myself, during our childhood, every year we'd pay respects to these troops by listenting to this legendary song, espically back when we use to go to school, and it sort of became a symbol. May God bless all of them, and the lives that were lost. I remember, they'd play this all the time on the radio as a kid every year on Remembrance Day or at school. I moved back home, but I'll always have respect for those troops. How time flies, glad to see many still pay respects using this piece. Lest We Forget 🙏

Even though I never got the opportunity to go overseas, while I was enlisted, I miss being in uniform, been thinking about going back and enrolling myself again, but to make a career out of it, and give back to this beautiful country I call home, that has given me so much, in the 21 years I been in Canada
